Happy Halloween!  I put Sir Torre in a mask just for you guys.  He doesn’t do costumes well.

I promised you pictures of corgi adorkableness, and so you shall have them!  Torre-torre is so silly.  And yes, that is a bed sheet he’s laying next to.  It got a hole in it, so I put it downstairs to throw away later, but he decided it was his instead.  He curled up in it and looked so adorable that I couldn’t bear to take it away.  So now it’s his doggy bed, and sometimes he even wraps himself up in it.

When I finished up my shield charms, I also made these!  A while ago, I gave my friend Jazzy a pair of turtle earrings.  Since then, her dog has decided they look tasty and ate one.  So I’ve made her a new pair (so they match) and will put the old one she still has onto a necklace.  They’re freakin’ adorable!

It’s been over a month!  O.O  I’m not dead.  Promise.  I’ve just been very VERY busy with work and life…  and D&D (more on that later).  But you’re here for crafts and corgwn, and you shall have both this week!
I finally got around to finishing the other shields for my Knights of the Round Table bracelet.  It’s gonna look so great.  I’ll post a picture of the finished product when I get it all put together, but I wanted to make sure to pic and post these before glazing them.

Happy birthday to me!
*ahem* Back on topic, I’ve been wanting to make myself a charm bracelet based on the knights of the round table.  (Get it?  Round table, round bracelet?)  I’m actually pretty happy with how these first five came out.  I was a little worried on the details on Gawain’s purple one and Arthur’s, but I took my time and was rewarded.
Gawain has two shields because, well… Folklore.  That’s the short explanation.  The pentagram shield is what is described in “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight,” but the purple one with the two-headed eagle also comes up in other sources.  So I made both.  I think I’ll put the purple one on my bracelet because I like it better, and Arthur’s is already red.

More crafts!  I’m thinking of being a merchant at an upcoming craft fair in my hometown, so I’ve been experimenting with some ideas I think would sell.
These are something I’ve wanted to make for a while now.  It’s not just that they’re roses…  They’re scented!  They smell so good, even after paint and my usual 2 coats of glaze.  These ones will probably be glued onto some earring posts, but I can put some rings in ones I make later.  I just wanted to test out the scents at this point.

Completing the set is Awelan, the Lady of Air.  She’s the Judge and was also the one who set up Weidmoor as a matriarchy.
No colours for you today!  I literally designed her when I sketched her on Labour Day, because I decided I didn’t like the design I had for her.  It’s neat, but it’s not strict enough for my vision of Awelan.

Today’s Lady is Ennyn, the Lady of Fire.  Not only was this an exercise in making an actual cohesive set, I was also trying to vary my faces.  I think I did pretty well, breaking out the reference pictures and stuff.  Ennyn’s face is modelled off a woman in an Indian ad for…  some sort of telemarketing, I think.
These started getting larger, design-wise, as I went.  And they’re also in reverse alphabetical order!  That was not on purpose.
You can see Ennyn’s design sheet in my deviantART gallery.

Second in my series of four is Nerissa, the Lady of Water.  She deals with healing and scrying.  I had a Japanese water garden in mind when designing her.
Normally I would have drawn Nerissa first, because her design is the one I nailed down first, but I had an even rougher sketch/doodle of Terra’s portrait in a notebook, and I went from that for the rest of them.

I haven’t been crafting much lately because I’ve been drawing and writing instead.  Right now I’m working on a set of four portraits of characters from the world in which my writings are set.  All four of these portraits are still just sketches.  I’m going to put them on my lightbox and clean them up next, followed by scanning them in and colouring them in Photoshop.  Long process is long, but it works well.
First up is Terra, the Lady of Earth.  She also deals with metal, hence the ball-peen hammer (if you can see it) and the sword she’s holding.  There is also more significance to the sword, but that would be spoilers, and we can’t have that.
